A good conversation starts with listening. I bring curiosity, humor, and a welcoming presence to interviews, programs, and live events, helping guests feel comfortable and giving audiences a reason to stay.
Through Dandyleap Productions, I help shape ideas into video with a clear purpose and a human connection. From the first conversation to the final edit, the audience is always part of the picture.

From classic films to community life, my work begins with a simple question: what will make this matter to the person watching?
HOSTING / PUBLIC TELEVISION
As host and producer of WHRO-TV’s classic film series Cinema 15, I brought a love of movies into the living room.
Presenting classic cinema is an invitation: come for a familiar title, discover something unexpected, and see the story with fresh eyes. It brings together the two sides of my work—creating a program and connecting with its audience.
PRODUCTION / PUBLIC SERVICE
My work with the City of Suffolk brings local people, history, and public service into focus through video.
Projects such as The Price is Right: Suffolk ’74 Edition and the Sheriff’s Office UNITY series explore different ways to connect a community with its stories. This experience is part of my municipal role, distinct from my independent production services.

03 / MEET DANNY
I’ve always loved what happens when someone has a story to tell—and someone else takes the time to listen.
That curiosity grew into more than three decades in media, from television news to public broadcasting, on-camera hosting, and video production. Along the way, I’ve worked with WHRO Public Media, WAVY-TV, and WTKR-TV, and earned three regional Emmy Awards.
Today, I’m based in Suffolk, Virginia, where I run Dandyleap Productions and serve as the City of Suffolk’s Digital Media Specialist. Whether I’m guiding a conversation or shaping a final cut, I want the audience to feel connected to the people on screen.
